Dear Friends in Christ:

 

We are Fueled For Life! It takes food and drink to keep our bodies fueled for life; it takes gas to keep our cars fueled for life; it takes sun, water, and a little tender loving care to keep our gardens fueled for life. 

 

What does it take to keep, to really keep us—members and friends of Our Savior Lutheran Church—Fueled for Life? “Now to him, who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen” Ephesians 3:20

 

Our heavenly Father ensures that we are fueled for eternal life. He has provided fuel in abundance through his word and promise. We believe that God’s Good News has changed everything and that God is transforming us and sending us, each and every one of us, into the world to spread and live that Gospel Good News! That is what we are about at Our Savior- it is who we are! This is the ministry that our financial stewardship supports. It is at the heart of our Fueled for Life emphasis!

 

Stewardship continues to be more than a financial effort at Our Savior. During our stewardship drive this fall, we will look at the various ministries that keep our congregation transforming and seeing new opportunities for growth – it is the fuel for our life at Our Savior!

 

Each week we will feature a new ministry of our congregation, and we invite you to participate in these ministries as we continue to fuel our friends, neighbors, and world with the fellowship and stewardship of Our Savior Lutheran Church! It is our hope that you or your family will consider way to participate in these ministries, offering your support through your talents, time, and financial gifts!

 

We also invite you to attend our Stewardship Sunday Celebration on November 9, 2008. All services will include a time to present your financial commitment. You are also invited to celebrate Stewardship Sunday with a potluck immediately following the late service. Watch the newsletter and bulletin for all the details and how you can fuel the potluck!

 

Each member was sent a financial gift pledge card, example tithing amounts, and an envelope for your pledge card. 

 

Being Fueled For Life is an on-going and exciting part of being a part of the body of Christ! As good stewards, we look for new ways to keep re-fueling our life and what a wonderful sensation knowing we can fuel our congregation, community, and world with our gifts, time, and financial support!
