Thanksgiving Eve Worship Service November 27th, 7:30 p.m.
Music Ministry » Home

Music and singing is next to the highest priority in the worship service, second only to the preaching of God’s Word. These words of Martin Luther hold true at Our Savior. God has provided wonderful pastors and musicians since the congregation first met in October of 1941. Those who have entered this house of worship in these 65 years have been blessed through the spoken Word and the rich tradition of music resounding to His glory.

On Ascension Day, May 25, 2006, the congregation gathered for the formal dedication of a new Rodgers-Ruffatti Combination Digital/Pipe Organ. The console and digital part of the instrument arrived in July, 2005, and the 16 ranks of pipes arrived in January, 2006
Sixteen beautiful copper façade pipes adorn each side of the chancel. The sound has been described as generous, authentic, convincing, rich and full.
The Adult Choir meets on Thursday from 7pm to 9pm in the church balcony.  We are a Soprano/Alto/Tenor/Bass volunteer choir.  We sing several times a month and for special services. No audition is required.
The Adult Handbell Choir meets on Wednesdays from 7pm to 9pm in the church balcony.  We are a volunteer two to five octave choir.  No previous experience required.  All are welcome.  We play several times a quarter and for special services.  The bellchoir is directed by Karen Harwood.
We welcome musicians who would like to help augment our worship music.  If you can sing or play an instrument and are interested in volunteering for a solo, duet, or group performance, please contact Sonja Kahler.  ALL ages and skill levels are welcome.
